All in all, traveling is a lot of fun, but a lot of work too. Its difficult to make sure everyone has their fair share of Henry, and harder to want to see so many people and places. My favorites? I just loved being with family.
I visited Noodles & Co. It made me miss everyone so so so much!! That restaurant was my baby and those people were my second family. I went to lunch with Yaz and Staci, a couple of my favorite managers. It was so much fun to catch up. They are some of my favorite friends.
I finally got my mom a new hair blow dryer for Mother's day. I have wanted to get her one for a LONG time! Let me tell you about her sad little blow dryer. She has been using, for as long as I can remember, a little gray, travel size blow dryer. The back of it...you know the cover for in front of the hot coils?? That was broken, chipped, and taped on. the front? Oh, its pretty much gone too.... I wouldnt let anyone under the age of 14 operate that little blow dryer for fear of it burning them... I'm just teasing mom! She was just in desperate need for a new dryer....HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!
I got to spend a little time with Josh's mom on my last day in SLC. That was fun. We spent some time shopping. She bought Henry this adorable little summer outfit... Give him another month, and He will fit into it perfectly, and then I think i'll have his picture taken in it. I am excited because by then he might have 4...FOUR teeth on top! So cute!!
Anyway, I enjoyed all my time with family and friends. I love and miss you all! Until next time!

To move or not to move....

That is the grand question! We are at that time in our lease where we need to figure out what we are going to do when it is up. I have exactly 3 days now to get it figured out. Let me share my quick dilema...and any comments or opinions appreciated! (Although, I am leaning heavily one way... lets see if you can guess...)
Our nine month lease is up on May 31, 2010. We live in a one bedroom apartment.
CURRENT APT:
We can renew for 3 more months in a one bedroom, and then because Henry will be one we will need to move to a 2 bedroom. Thats 400.00 more in rent.

UPDATE!

I have some very exciting news! I just found out and had to put it out there for you all to read!
Remember last Tuesday Josh had an interview with the Attorney General - Public Safety division? And remember how he had been offered a position with the Attorney General - Civil Division? AND remember how he really wanted the Public Safety job but would take the civil one??.... WELL! Today he was offered a position with the Public Safety Division! I just want to tell him how proud of him I am! He works so hard, and I dont give him enough credit. He's is a great student, and an amazing Dad. Henry lights up every night when I tell him it's time to go pick up daddy. (Josh thinks that I make that up, but I dont)
Congratulations Baby! I am so proud of you! I love you.

a bumble bee and a beetle

I think they had a baby! And that baby had a baby, and that baby had a LOT of babies! EW. They are everywhere! These large gross BumbleBee Beetles! If one of them comes into my little home, I'm not kidding, I am going to have to go to the mall until Josh gets home from school. I do not like bugs, flies, crickets...or anything similar.

And the world keeps turning....

We visited the Cherry Blossom festival at the Jefferson Memorial this last weekend. It was beautiful! You know those places you can go where you just feel calm, and peace, and you could just sit with your eyes closed for hours? Thats how the Jefferson Memorial would be if there werent SO MANY PEOPLE! I forget sometimes that we live in such a tourist-y place.... It was beautiful though.
Other places that are like that for me are:
-The Temple...obviously
-The waterfall in the Pilippines that we hiked to... I dont remember its name, but it was incredible. Id go back to the Philippines just for that hike and waterfall again. We had to hike through rice paddies, and down a mountain, and up a mountain... Josh showed me this amazing flower that the Philippinas call "Shy Shy" If you touch it, the petals pull in. Isnt that incredible!

I have started working out doing Jazzercize! WOOT WOOT! Alright, Its kinda for old ladies, but I really enjoy it, and there's free babysitting! It doesnt get much better then that...oh wait! The class is free too! Wish me luck! I'm hoping to get in shape, eat better, and STAY in shape!
Easter fell on conference weekend this year. I love when things like that happen. Like when Christmas falls on a Sunday. I didnt get as much out of conference as I would have liked due to 1. Having a curious, mischievious little boy, and 2. I was planning and preparing for a dinner with 10 people.... naughty, I know. It was great though to spend the holiday evening with friends though, because when you are so far away from home, friends are family. And everyone, EVERYONE needs family around an special days.

Candy in salad?

MMmmmmm...
I was made aware of this really great salad at bunko last month, I thought I'd share..

Mixed Greens
Candied Pecans (recipe on allrecipes.com)
Blue cheese crumbles
Grated parmesan cheese

Dressing: Pesto... I added a little ranch to make a pesto ranch, similar to a dressing that we had at noodles & co a long time ago. SO YUMMY!
You should really really really! try this salad.
