Thoughts a year later

Well, my little boy's one year birthday is just around the corner and it seems to be high on my list of constant thoughts. I can't believe I have been a mommy for a year. I can't how much our little boy has blessed our lives. I can't believe how much growth and progress I get to witness with him. He is such a big boy. Walking! And Talking! - You know... blah blah da da...Hi! All the fun baby talk. He is so handsome. Just like his daddy, and I am proud to be his mommy. I am blessed to have a good friend who was able to take some really really really adorable pictures of Henry. They are his one year pictures, so this is just a sneak peak... You have to wait for the rest. Enjoy!

Sleeping baby

Hi,
I have a few minutes before I need to go grab 2 loads from the dryers downstairs, and probably less until little Henry wakes up. Just thought I'd check in with the world out there. For lunch today I am eating tortilla chips and water. I should probably make myself a sandwich and peel a carrot...maybe later. If time permits eh? I found out that a friend of mine from college is preggo! Congrats Alison! I am so excited for her. Someone mentioned recently that blogging and journaling is great for prosperity's sake, not that I wasnt aware, but I am going to try harder to be a little more on top of this all. Here are a few pictures of friends and things we have done lately. Enjoy!

Our little dining area...we really are trying harder to eat at the table rather then use it for...anything really. Mostly Junk. I am bummed because above our table is a really beautiful picture of the Savior. Try to imagine it...

Happy Birthday Sweet Husband

We celebrated Josh's 25 Birthday this week. On saturday we enjoyed a Nationals Baseball game. On Monday, his actual birthday, Henry and I went into the city and took him lunch. When He got home we had 5 Guys for dinner and ate yummy birthday cake. I hope you had a good birthday sweethart! We love you so much!!!

Well yesterday morning I woke up feeling very ill... I knew right away that I had mastitis....again. For the 5th time. On top of that I have been fighting an ear infection for 2 1/2 weeks.... I decided it was finally time to go to the doctor. Yes, Im kinda stubborn, and dont enjoy spending my money at the Doctors... But I am so glad I went. I spent most the day in bed yesterday, and received a pleasant surprise. After Henry woke from his afternoon nap I grabbed him and put him in bed with me. I had done next to nothing yesterday, and watched Henry terrorize my apartment, as I just felt so terrible... Well, we are laying in my bed when Josh pokes his head in. at 4pm! He left work early! What a great husband! He got me some tylenol and took Henry shopping for a couple hours. I am glad to report that I am having a much better day today thanks to my sweet husband for helping me find a way to get some rest yesterday.

Grumpy moment?

I try hard to steer away from adding grumpy moments on my blog...but ya gotta hear this one...
I went to the dentist today (Grumpy #1)
The assistant comes in to chit chat with me like she usually does. I have recently been to the dentist several times trying to fix my poor little mouth...Yes, I do my part to add to the problem, but I like to mostly blame it on genetics. My grandma had dentures by the time she was...17 I think. Thanks Grandma!
The assistant asks about my little boy, and proceeds to tell me about her son (now 11) and her ex-hubby. She tells me all about how every man cheats. They just do. She used horrible language. I then told her I was happy with my husband and confident that he would never cheat and that not every man cheats....
(Crappy conversation with the assistant while waiting for the dentist...Grumpy #2)
Well, I am mostly trying to avoid her conversing with me as much as possible and then she excitedly asks "Are you pregnant?!" (GRUMPY #3)...Uh...WHAT?! Okay, yes, I think I ate my way around Utah, and did come home with a little extra baggage, and yes, I was sitting totally upright in the dentist chair in pants that were probably a little tight around my waist and showing all the wrong curves, but come on.... I politely tell her that I am not preggo, and then guess what she does....YEP, she goes on to tell me where I can find an 8 Pound HULA HOOP to help loose the weight. Yep, HER WORDS!!! (GRUMPY #4) What?! Who is this woman?! What if I am totally and completely happy with my physical appearance?! Maybe I wouldnt be bothered then huh... Whatever.
Marcus was good today and we were able to spend about an hour outside. I really enjoyed it.
I know I'm a weenie, but Im still slightly, a little bit, not comfortable sleeping alone, or sleeping in total darkness...yes, I said it. I am scared of the dark. Why? You could ask one of my sisters dumb boyfriends growing up. I wont bore you with that story. I bring it up because it's almost 11pm - way past my bed time - and my sweet husband is picking some friends up from an airport that is an hour away... He wont me home until close to 1am I guess....so.... what should I do? Maybe a movie will help me fall asleep.... I'll let you know. Have a really great night dear world.
