BBBbbbbrrrrrrrrrr.................................
We have had a record week in Washington DC area. We were warned about an incoming storm last wednesday and thursday. It snowed friday night to saturday night! I woke up about 4:30am Saturday morning to feed Henry and had noticed we lost power. I am lucky to say that a friend came to the rescue and let us stay with her family the majority of the day. We trudged over in the knee high snow and just about moved it. Josh had a rather large assignment due the following day and was quickly losing juice in his computer. He was able to work on his memo for several hours and finish while at our friends apartment. I believe we recieved 26 inches of snow! Cars were buried and near impossible to uncover, and once unburied people have become territorial over their parking spots....can you blame em? Our power was out for almost 18 hours! Thank goodness for great friends!
Before the storm hit I ran to Safeway to grab a few things to get us through the weekend. To my surprise, so did the rest of the city. There were zero baskets or carts available and lines to a cashier out the door. Sheesh! Now I know right?
Church was cancelled for a 2nd week in a row, and Josh hasn't been to school in almost a week! Another storm is in the works. We are forcasted to get about 16 more inches of snow and winds about 50mph. Crazy crazy weather. The snow is beautiful though. The trees, those that havent broken under the weight of the snow, look majestic. We have decided though to baricade ourselves at home to save our fingers and toes from frostbite! Wish us luck!
